In late 2019, I explored the idea of a series relolving around the ’thaw’ on Mount Hotham, this was intended to invite the viewer to look at the broader picture and think about human impact on the environment, so ‘thaw’ takes on a deeper meaning. We then had a dreadful summer of fires, with devastating loss to many. The ‘human’ impact became clearer!
